Riverside Park

Aerial View of Perth

Award-winning Riverside Park lies on the banks of the River Tay in the heart of our Fair City of Perth. It encompasses three different areas: Norrie Miller Walk, Rodney Garden and Bellwood Park, each with its own distinctive character. Visitors and locals alike can enjoy a beautiful circular walk that takes you along Tay Street, across the walkway of the railway bridge (from which there are stunning views), through Riverside Park and back across Queen's Bridge (or continue along to Perth Bridge if you want a longer stroll). As well as crossing the mighty Tay, highlights of the route include wildlife watching - there are populations of otters and beavers living in the riverside, and many species of bird can regularly be seen. The walk also encompasses much of Perth's Public Art Trail; 10 of the sculptures can be seen in Riverside Park and 6 are on Tay Street.

Uniquely, Riverside Park won the RHS Britain in Bloom Award for best park in the UK for two years in a row (2018 and 2019). To learn more about why it is so greatly loved, check out the details here:
