Entering is very simple. You can fill in and post the entry form printed in the Perthshire Advertiser, or email us at Enable JavaScript to view protected content. with your name, email address and phone number, along with the address of the property or project you are entering and the category or categories you wish to enter. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 15 July 2019 (7 June for schools). Judging will take place in August (June for schools), and the Awards Ceremony will be held in September. Dates will be notified to entrants as soon as possible.

The Beautiful Perth Awards celebrate everyone who helps keep our Fair City looking so lovely. You don't have to be an expert gardener to enter for a horticultural award, and projects at any stage of development can be put forward for a community award - we're looking for gardens and displays that brighten up the City, and projects that enhance the local environment. There are Bronze, Silver, Silver Gilt and Gold Award certificates to be won, reflecting all levels of achievement, so why not give it a go?

We are vey grateful to our friends at the Perthshire Advertiser for their support. This year, Perth is in the top five UK finalists competing for the Royal Horticultural Society's Britain in Bloom ‘Champion of Champions’ award. Entrants to our local awards scheme will help make the Fair City look its best for the Britain in Bloom judges when they visit at the end of July.

Residents

If you live in Perth you can help make the City bloom with colour whether you have a window box or a big garden, a few small pots or lots of big tubs and containers, whether you live in a flat or a mansion! If you need gardening advice you can talk to helpful staff in one of the local garden centres in or near Perth, contact a local gardening company or check out the RHS website. If you'd like to join us as a volunteer to help us plant and maintain some of Perth's public flower beds and displays, please get in touch.

Businesses

Local businesses and organisations can also contribute - whether you run a small business or manage a large organisation and whether you are in the private, public or voluntary sector. It doesn't matter whether you have room only for a few window boxes or hanging baskets or have large grounds and gardens to play with - you can help Perth maintain its reputation for horticultural excellence. If you're interested in hiring pre-planted hanging baskets for your premises during the summer months, Perth & Kinross Council runs a Business Hanging Baskets Scheme that can include watering and maintenance. If you'd like to support us through your staff volunteering sessions, or wish to sponsor our work, please get in touch.
