Plotting and Cataloguing the Heather Collection

Have you spotted the numbered plant labels appearing throughout the Heather Garden at Riverside Park?

Thanks to the generous support of local businessman Athole McDonald and his staff at KILMAC Ltd who have plotted the location of the more than 600 heather cultivars in the garden. Our Beautiful Perth volunteers are now working hard to identify and catalogue them by the end of May.

This is a major and far from straightforward undertaking, but once complete, Riverside Park will boast one of the most comprehensive catalogued heather collections in Scotland - possibly even the UK.
