Local Business Lends a Hand At Bridgend

Our volunteers, along with support from Perth & Kinross Council Greenspace were delighted to be joined by Pam, Jill and Kirstene from Merlin ERD to help begin the process of rejuvinating the garden at Bridgend car park as it had become a weed filled, overgrown wilderness. Pam and her colleagues kindly used some of their volunteering hours to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in alongside our wonderful volunteers. By the end of the session we had accumulated 42 bags of waste to go to Friarton for recycling.

It was a win, win as Pam said afterward "Thank you for allowing us to help the team yesterday, we had a great day" she continued "It was a pleasure to meet the wonderful volunteers and hear all about the terrific work you do keeping the green space and gardens of Perth looking amazing. I will be back again for sure".

Certainly the win for us was the delicious home baking they brought for coffee time, so they are definitely welcome back any time!!!

Do you get volunteering hours or do you have free time and want some good fresh air and some exercise? Why not get in touch and come and join us, there is no shortage of projects on the go.
