Certificate of Recognition for 2020

We were honoured and delighted to receive a Certificate of Recognition from Beautiful Scotland in recognition of our work in 2020, our most challenging year ever! This is a fitting tribute to our hard-working volunteers who have worked so hard all year, whenever the Government's Covid restrictions allowed. 

The certificate came with a lovely letter from Barry Fisher, Chief Executive of Keep Scotland Beautiful:

"Congratulations on your attached Certificate which we hope recognises the tremendous contribution that your group - Beautiful Perth - has made to the Beautiful Scotland and It’s Your Neighbourhood activity throughout 2020. This year has been unique, and we know that this will have challenged your group in many different ways, but everyone at Keep Scotland Beautiful knows just how important your work will have been to the communities where you live. The lockdown in the Spring has reminded us all of the importance of our local environment and created a greater awareness of the natural world around us. The inspiration that you will have provided local people cannot be underestimated, but the programme will have also provided important opportunities for you as volunteers to focus on positive activity in response to the pandemic. Thank you for the incredible activity that you undertake on a daily basis around our communities – we are delighted to recognise and celebrate your amazing work."

So take a bow,volunteers, and let's hope we can get back to work under better circumstances in 2021.
