In Beautiful Perth we like to get involved with longer term projects designed to improve local areas of the City. In past years, for example, we've worked on a wildlife pond on the North Inch and with volunteers from the Letham Project.
In 2013 one of our biggest projects will be the improvement of the riverside park where a new national heather collection is being developed. The Council is coordinating a major project that will see improvements along Norrie Millar Walk, Rodney Gardens and Bellwood Riverside Park. We're one of the key partners and are closely involved, providing volunteers as well as a financial contribution.
We also love to get involved with groups planning to undertake (or already undertaking) projects that will enhance their neighbourhood. If you have a project you think we could help with, or if you want to set up a Local Action Group affiliated to Beautiful Perth, please let us know.
And if you're proud of the work your group is doing, why not go for an 'It's Your Neighbourhood' award, as part of our Beautiful Perth Awards? Find out more here.
